PR has played a significant role in building the Intempo brand. With a
limited – and at times non-existent – advertising budget, Intempo has depended upon a consistent, results-driven public relations campaign to raise awareness of its audio products.

Chatterbox has established a strong media profile for Intempo by generating coverage in a broad section of media. Within a year of launch Intempo was one of the top three DAB brands in the UK digital radio market.

PR has been key to supporting the company’s business objectives; by raising awareness of Intempo’s products it has driven consumer sales and bolstered the marketing effort with retailers and distributors.

Intempo was one of the first brands to partner with a fashion designer and set the trend for celebrity-styled gadgets, Chatterbox PR was instrumental in this decision. The collaboration with Matthew Williamson produced two customised ‘haute couture’ DAB radios which have gone on to become modern-day collectables, given the amount of media exposure the partnership generated.

Since its launch five years ago, the coverage for Intempo has increased by over 900%, generating over 300 pieces a year, providing an annual advertising equivalent of over £2million.
